Facility maintenance staff generally assume the responsibility of arranging the routine inspection of suspension points with OTCS. It is a legal requirement that in addition to daily operational checks, a suspension point must also be independently assessed on an annual basis and recertified as safe to use. This is a service we offer to all our clients on a rolling basis. Where a suspension point is being used intensively, we can offer shorter inspection periods. Annual maintenance and certification is not possible if the original commissioning documentation is not available.
Where a client secures our services to maintain an existing suspension point we must be supplied with the original commissioning documentation. Where this cannot be supplied the point must be commissioned as new before a certificate can be issued.
